Vita:
I began my writing career in the late 1990s with magazine articles in England and Germany, followed by non-fiction books for Frech Verlag. My love of storytelling soon led me to fiction, inspired by years of family tree research and a lifelong fascination with history. After completing a creative writing course in Cambridge and retiring from my career with Lufthansa, I published my first novel, The Missionary. Since then, I’ve written three more novels and several short stories.
My historical mystery The Matchstick Boy won the Coffee Pot Book Club Silver Award for the best historical mystery and the Reader’s Choice 5 Stars Award in the USA .
Originally from Yorkshire, where I grew up surrounded by siblings and animals, I now live near Lake Constance. When I’m not writing, I enjoy walking in nature, travelling across Europe with my husband, and visiting our three children and six grandchildren.
